## AI quiz generator

A ready-to-copy prompt for the AI you already use, then editable questions you can export to Moodle or Evalmee.

## Free quiz generator, with or without AI

Prepare the prompt, paste the answer from ChatGPT, Claude, or Le Chat, check the questions, then export them. No account.

Evalmee calls no AI and receives nothing: the conversion happens in your browser. The prompt goes to the AI you choose, so leave out personal data and confidential exams.

You can also run this quiz online, graded and proctored, in Evalmee.

## How to generate a quiz

### Describe your quiz

Paste a course excerpt or write a topic, then pick the number of questions.

### Have your AI write it

Copy the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Le Chat, or another assistant, then copy its answer.

### Check and export

Paste the answer here: each question becomes an editable card. Export to Aiken, GIFT, or Moodle XML, print, or open Evalmee.

## With or without AI, and what the tool really does

This tool doesn't write the questions itself: it prepares a precise instruction for the AI you already use, then reads its answer. So there's no account and no quota, and your texts don't go through Evalmee.

Without AI, it works the same way: paste questions written by hand or copied from Word, and they become exportable cards.

## How to review a quiz written by an AI

An AI writes fast and gets things wrong with confidence. First check against your course that the marked answer is right. Then check that the wrong choices are believable: a choice nobody would pick measures nothing.

Keep one concept per question, avoid negatives, and remove "all of the above." If the right answer is always the longest, participants will notice.

## Grading, and what comes next

Before grading, set the scoring rules: the [test grade calculator](https://evalmee.com/en/tools/test-grade-calculator/) gives the grade from the number of errors. For a graded exam with penalties, random draws, and a time limit, see [Evalmee's online multiple-choice tests](https://evalmee.com/en/product/multiple-choice-test-maker/).

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the quiz generator free?

Yes, with no account and no limit. Evalmee calls no AI: you use your own, with its own terms and any limits it has.

### Does the tool write the questions itself?

No. It prepares the prompt, and the AI you choose writes the questions. The tool then reads the answer, shows it as editable cards, and produces the export files.

### Are generated questions reliable?

Not without review. An AI can mark a wrong answer as right or make up a fact, so check each question against your course before using it.

### Where do my texts go?

To the AI you paste the prompt into, under its terms. Evalmee receives nothing: the conversion happens in your browser. Leave out personal data and confidential exams.

### Can I import the quiz into Moodle?

Yes. The tool produces an Aiken, GIFT, or Moodle XML file that Moodle's question bank imports directly.

### How do I run this quiz online?

Open Evalmee from the tool: the exam runs in the browser, with scoring rules, random draws, a time limit, and proctoring depending on the plan.
