## Free tools for assessment

Eight tools, no sign-up, for the small jobs around an exam: convert a score to another scale, compute a weighted average, grade a multiple-choice test, curve a class's grades, prepare a file for Moodle or Canvas, show the finish time in the exam room, calculate extra time. Everything runs in your browser; no score and no name ever leaves your computer.

### Why free tools?

Around every exam there are ten small tasks people redo by hand: converting a scale, counting wrong answers, copying questions from Word into an LMS, working out the finish time for candidates with access arrangements. Each of these tools does one of those tasks, well, for free, and asks for nothing. When you want the result kept, shared or graded automatically for a whole cohort, Evalmee takes over — but nothing here requires it.
